The Future of ICT in the Classroom

How do you think we can best use ICT and other technologies to help improve your learning at BSfG? This is quite an open question, and to help, here are some thoughts on what things we may need to consider.

What ICT facilities would you like to see in the classroom to help improve your learning? How many computers should there be? How would you use them? How often would you use them? Would this change in different subjects? Should you all have your own laptops?

Will you have to actually be in school to learn or will you be able to access your teachers and their materials through technology from home?

What will ICT look like in 10 years time? Will we be using only computers or will smart phones, iPods and other technology be important in the lessons?

What about environmental technologies that could be considered? This is an opportunity to have a low carbon, energy efficient environment that can be cool in summer and warm in winter.

The impact of technology in 10 years time will be extraordinary. It is now time for us to be creative, visionary, forward-thinking so that we can ensure that you have the best head start in life.
Imagine the extraordinary!
